Magical Moments at Sunrise Village is a collection of special events that take place through the holiday season. For 2018, these events will include free family-friendly activities that are sure to please young and old alike:

On December 1, the Victorian Holiday  event will feature holiday carolers, a caricature booth, rides on a horse drawn sleigh and, of course, Santa Claus himself. Craft stations with be setup throughout the event and the Nutcracker, Father Time Mouse and the Christmas Bear will be walking around, passing out candy canes and spreading old-fashioned holiday cheer.

Then on December 15 the Winterfest carnival brings amusement and spirited entertainment! This event will feature games and activities for children of all ages. Kids will love the inflatable bounce houses, face painting with a holiday elf, and a Christmas Magic Show. Then, head over to the Benihana booth to create your own candy sushi roll. Plus, kids can get their photos taken with Mr. and Mrs. Santa Mouse and the Christmas Bear.

On December 22, the Nutcracker comes to to life as the Sac Civic Ballet shares the story of the Nutcracker with two performances. There will be a storytime reading of the Nutcracker,  Nutcracker character appearances, and a meet-and-greet session with the dancers.
