Spring Break Camps in Sacramento and Beyond

Spring Break is just a few weeks away, so now is the time to start thinking about how to keep your kiddos busy during their time off. While kids love the idea of no school for a whole week (or two!), many Sacramento parents are looking for ways to keep kids busy during Spring Break. Well, look no further… we’ve put together our list of the top 10 Spring Break camps Sacramento and beyond:

Recreational Spring Break Camp at Southgate Recreation and Park District, Sacramento

Recreational Camp:

The Southgate Recreation & Park District‘s Fun Factory offers a fun and exciting Spring Break Camp for kids. The program takes place at Fletcher Farm Community Center in Sacramento. Staff provide a nutritious morning and afternoon snack, and lead kids in arts and crafts activities and group games. Participants will engage in a variety of science, reading, physical education, drama and theater activities. Performing Arts Camp:

Sacramento Theater Company offers two Spring camps perfect for kids who are interested in performing arts. The program offer kids a fun, supportive and encouraging environment. Camps are suitable for students in grades 1 through 8. Classes run Mon-Fri, 9 am to 5 pm (extended hours available). Performing artists guide students through a diverse curriculum that promotes creative expression. Camps include acting, dancing, and singing, with additional classes in scenic arts, improvisation, stage combat, costuming, and more! Each session ends with the students’ presentation of their original work for family and friends. The first session will run March 26-30, the second session runs April 2-6. Spring Break Camp at Sacrament State Aquatic Center, Gold River

Aquatic Sports Camp:

The Sacramento State Aquatic Center offers a fun and unique Spring Break camp for kids age 7-17. The four-day program is held Mon-Thur, March 26-29. The camp offers children the opportunity to learn sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and kayaking. This impressive aquatic center is located at Lake Natoma, off Highway 50 in Gold River. The Aquatic Center is recognized as a model for safe boating and is a boating safety center for the California State Parks Division of Boating and Waterways. Spring Break Music Camp at NewSongs School of Music, Elk Grove

Music Camp:

NewSongs School of Music offers a Spring Break camp to to inspire the younger generation to cultivate their creativity through music. The program promotes creative freedom to help youngsters make music in a fun, supportive environment. The program takes place at NewSongs in Elk Grove between Mar 26 and Apr 1. Spring Break Horseback Riding Camp at Stewart Stables, Galt

Horseback Riding Camp:

Stewart Stables horseback riding camp is perfect for animal-loving youngsters age 9+. Your child will learn basic horse care, riding techniques, play horseback games, experience basic farm animal care and learn about tack and riding equipment. The last day of camp is celebrated with a special camp BBQ or pizza party. The camps are offered in two sessions, March 19-23 and March 26-30 from 10am-2pm daily. Spring Break Filmmaking Camp at Blue Line Arts, Roseville

Filmmaking Camp:

Blue Line Arts is offering a one-of-a-kind Spring Break camp experience. This unique program lets kids age 13+ learn the art of filming and directing. The program is held Wed-Fri, Mar 28-30 from 10 am to 3 pm. Students will work in small groups to create a cinematic masterpiece, which will be premiered for all to see at the end of the program. Spring Break Survivor Camp at Powerhouse Science Center, Sacramento

Survivor Camp:

Survivor Spring Break Camp is an adventurous program that lets kids activate primal survival skills while having a great time. They’ll then use these skills to make it through thrilling challenges. Students are taught to map their surroundings and to  stay clear of hazards. They also learn to track their location, build shelter and  find food and water. Spring Break Pottery Camp at Color Me Mine, Rocklin

Pottery Camp:

Color Me Mine in Rocklin invites your children to join them for a week of quality creative time at their studio. They’re offering a special Spring Break camps Mon-Thur, March 26-29. Students will take part in painting, treats, games and more. Kids can attend the entire session, or book individual days. Crafts will include painting spring plates, fingerprint mugs, and pretzel plates. Daily sessions run from 10am to 12 pm at the Color Me Mine location in Rocklin. The Robinson’s Taekwondo location at Arden Town & Country is offering a fun yet challenging Spring Break Camp from March 26-29, 9 am to 3 pm daily. The program aims to have a positive impact on students, allowing them to build social skills and confidence. The camp will teach skills that translate into solutions for real-life situations. Art Camp:

The Verge Center for the Arts in downtown Sacramento welcomes young contemporary artists to learn new crafts during their Spring Break camps. Students age 8+ will learn a variety of mediums and will make their our own creations. Instruction will include collage, mixed media, illustration and geometric painting.
