Sac Arts Center is now open by appointment only. Please schedule an appointment to visit the gallery and gift shop. They are closely following the Public Health Regulation for California and Sacramento County and will limit the number of visitors they have in their galleries.

The Statewide Museum Collections Center (SMCC) serves as the repository for over 1 million historical objects and artifacts from parks throughout the state. At SMCC, State Park Curators, Archivists, and Collections Managers care for and manage California’s most extensive collection of artifacts, archival documents, and photographs.
The Center offers a limited number of tours by advanced reservation only. SMCC is a working collection management facility. In the heart of Midtown Sacramento, Sutter’s Fort State Historic Park captures the pioneer spirit of families arriving in wagon trains at the dawn of the California Gold Rush. The Steve Miklos Aquatic Center is now open for scheduled lap swim, Mondays through Saturdays. Lap swim is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Under Sacramento County public health guidelines, swim lanes are limited to allow for social distancing. If all lanes are full when you check-in at their front entrance, their staff will take your cell phone number. They will request that you wait in your car and will notify you once a lane becomes available.
