Camp Woolman takes places in the beautiful Sierra Nevada foothills near the wild and scenic Yuba River and Tahoe National Forest. Campers age 9-14 love Camp Woolman because every day is an adventure! They offer four one-week camp sessions (camps run weekly from June 24 through August 4), and kids can participate in multiple sessions, if desired.

Campers will enjoy a variety of activities such as backpacking, visiting beautiful places, learning about nature, and have a blast! Kids come back year after year and enjoy the programs under the guidance of fun, friendly counselors.

Time Traveler Camp

California Museum offers campers an amazing experience exploring 10,000 years of history and culture at Time Traveler Camp! This week-long day camp is ideal for young adventurers ages 6-11. The camp offers engaging learning experiences as participants travel back in time to California’s significant eras.

The program is a combination of exhibit tours, excursions to nearby sites and hands-on activities. Daily itineraries begin on Monday in modern California and end on Friday in the state’s prehistoric past over 10,000 years ago.

Sacramento 4-H Overnight Camp

Sacramento 4-H offers an amazing week-long overnight program aimed at kids age 9+. Camp takes place between June 24-29 and is held at Camp Gold Hollow in Nevada City. The camp offers kids opportunities for growth, fun, and development. Kids will experience unique, hands-on learning opportunities that teach real life skills.

Camp includes daily activities such as skits, sports, crafts and more. The program promotes positivity and learning while allowing campers to meet new youth and make life-long friendships.  The food at camp is prepared by experienced cooks and there is a nurse on-site at all times. Monster Mayhem Summer Camp at Brighton School offers children age 5-14 with amazing opportunities and fun experiences that build self-esteem. With many summer camp for kids options, their week-long day camps sessions are filled with creative, appropriate, organized and safe activities that keep campers happy all day long and give parents peace of mind. Sessions run weekly starting June 4 through August 3.
