Camp Woolman takes places in the beautiful Sierra Nevada foothills near the wild and scenic Yuba River and Tahoe National Forest. Campers age 9-14 love Camp Woolman because every day is an adventure! They offer four one-week camp sessions (camps run weekly from June 24 through August 4), and kids can participate in multiple sessions, if desired.

Campers will enjoy a variety of activities such as backpacking, visiting beautiful places, learning about nature, and have a blast! Kids come back year after year and enjoy the programs under the guidance of fun, friendly counselors.

Verge Center for the Arts offers several summer camp for kids in 2018. The week-long summer day camps for kids are categorized by age (ages 6-9, and age 10-14) and by medium. Camps areas of focus include ceramics, fiber arts, comic books, painting and mosaics.

Sacramento 4-H offers an amazing week-long overnight program aimed at kids age 9+. Camp takes place between June 24-29 and is held at Camp Gold Hollow in Nevada City. The camp offers kids opportunities for growth, fun, and development. Kids will experience unique, hands-on learning opportunities that teach real life skills.

Camp includes daily activities such as skits, sports, crafts and more. The program promotes positivity and learning while allowing campers to meet new youth and make life-long friendships.  The food at camp is prepared by experienced cooks and there is a nurse on-site at all times. Monster Mayhem Summer Camp at Brighton School offers children age 5-14 with amazing opportunities and fun experiences that build self-esteem. With many summer camp for kids options, their week-long day camps sessions are filled with creative, appropriate, organized and safe activities that keep campers happy all day long and give parents peace of mind. Sessions run weekly starting June 4 through August 3.

Each session is themed so campers can enjoy new experiences each week. Themes include Cookie Monster, Monster Truck, Aliens, Big Foot, etc. Tuition includes both snacks and lunch. The Powerhouse Science Center is one of the Sacramento region’s premier institutions with an emphasis on STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) education and hands-on learning. Our interactive exhibits and activities help kids in K-6th  grades realize how science, engineering, technology and society are all interconnected.

Powerhouse Science Center was originally founded in 1951 as the California Junior Museum and designed as a space where children could experience science and nature through engaging  programs and exhibits. We’ve operated for 65 years as a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization, supplying informal science education for 19 counties in the greater Sacramento area.
